Migrant Caravan

The Migrant Caravan is thousands of migrants that are fleeing from persecution, poverty, and violence in their home countries. It started with a small group of people, 160, on October 12 and by October 13 more than 1000 people joined the travel. On this journey, they have been sleeping in the street and makeshift camps. According to international law, the country should hear asylum claims for migrants who are running from violence in their country. On October it was announced that the U.S. would send 5,200 troops to Mexico’s border. Many see reaching the U.S. as a dream and wish for a better life here.
