Flomaton vs. Atmore Football

Trinidy White

n the previous week, there has been a lot of animosity leading up to this week’s football game. This Friday, Flomaton and Escambia County High School played against each other.  For almost two weeks, there had been a lot of talk around both schools about this week’s game. Some people were betting on this game for weeks. The Hurricanes are currently undefeated and the Devils have a record of 3-1. It being a local team and Escambia County’s homecoming increased the intensity.

I spoke to Sam Smith, the full back and outside linebacker for the Canes, to see what he had to say about the upcoming game. “Everybody on the outside has been hyping the game up but we have been quiet and we’re just gonna let our pads talk” Smith stated. “We have been very locked in this week and we’re ready for them.”

The Hurricanes brought home a big win with a final score of 28-14.
