If you have ever watched something on Netflix, then you have more than likely seen the cover for the show Sherlock. The show takes place starting in 2010, and it’s a modern adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes. The show involves Conan Doyle’s characters Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson.

Some of the cast members in the show include Benedict Cumberbatch, Martin Freeman, Andrew Scott, and Rupert Graves. Benedict has starred in some Marvel movies including Doctor Strange and Avengers: Infinity War as Stephen Strange. The show also stars Martin Freeman who has starred in Marvel’s Black Panther and Captain America: Civil War as Everett Ross.

Since many young people don’t enjoy reading, this show is an accurate representation of the books, but there are a few things that have a more modern approach. First, the characters actually use phones and take pictures. They also use the modern technology we have today to perform autopsies.

In the show, detective Sherlock Holmes and his flatmate, Dr. John Watson, go around the city of London, England, investigating mysterious murders that are occuring. The main antagonists are Jim Moriarty and his accomplice, Sebastian Moran. The show is very close to what the books are—considering it’s an adaptation of a book. Normally, that doesn’t happen. The books are always better.

The show has four seasons, with three episodes each, making that a total of twelve episodes in the series—plus a special episode—so that makes a total of thirteen episodes in the series. The episodes are an hour and a half long. Within the series, there are a few behind the screen episodes as well. In addition, there is Mark Gatiss’s A Study in Sherlock on Netflix that has the cast and crew members of the show telling you about what they do.

My experience with the show was emotional. I cried, I laughed, I screamed, etc. It’s an amazing show with an amazing plot every episode.
