The Lion King was released into American theaters on July 29, 2019. Opening weekend, the movie grossed an estimated $185 Million. The Lion King is a live-action remake of 1994’s remake of the Disney animated classic and features Donald Glover as adult Simba, Billy Eichner as Timon, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa, and many others.

The movie itself is amazing. My experience with it was alright, far better than Avengers: Endgame. While watching The Lion King, I had a family sitting beside me with little children. The children didn’t talk a whole lot, but they did constantly have to go to the bathroom, so their mom had to keep getting up and I had to keep letting my legs up. It was exhausting. At least, however, the kids weren’t crying like when I went to see Avengers: Endgame.

My favorite character in The Lion King is Scar. He has always been a favorite to me and I honestly have no clue why. He’s always intrigued me. No, I’m not going to go and murder my sisters and take over our house, but I feel bad for him. He was his mother’s favorite, his father not caring about him like his father cared about Mufasa.

The movie was good, but it will NEVER top the original. Now, The Lion King (2019) is better than the original, and vice versa. But in my opinion, the live-action remake will never top the original Disney

The Lion King is definitely a movie the whole family will enjoy. If you haven’t seen it yet, I highly recommend going to see it.
