Over the holidays, I was able to go watch a new hit movie: Instant Family. The movie hit theaters on November 16th and is said to be out on DVD by March 15, 2019. The film is based on a true story the director, Sean Anders’ family life. It shows how he and his wife adopted three kids out of foster care and were met with many untold challenges. It is a movie about chaos, laughter, awkwardness, mistakes, and love. The movie is about a married couple, Pete and Ellie, hoping to start a family. They come across the world of foster care adoption. Their hope is to take in one small child. However they are sent to meet 3 siblings, including a teenager. At this point, there is no turning back and they will go from no kids to 3 children overnight. You can watch their journey of foster care and adoption unfold by seeing the movie in a theater near you.

Personally, I loved the movie, and I believe it will inspire many people to look into and consider the role of a foster care parent.
