Millions of people get the flu every year. The flu is caused by a virus. Commonly known symptoms of the flu include fever and chills, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, muscle or body aches, headaches, and exhaustion. Due to the improvements and scientific developments, flu vaccines were developed.

The flu vaccine consists of many different strains of viruses such as the Michigan strain, Hong Kong strain, Brisbane strain, and the Phuket strain. Other ingredients include formaldehyde, aluminum salts, thimerosal, chicken egg proteins, gelatin, and antibiotics.

It is very beneficial to be vaccinated. It will help prevent that person and those of who you are around from getting sick with the flu and reduces the risk of getting the flu. The vaccine can also prevent any complications with those who have chronic diseases.
