Parent/Teacher conferences will be held on Thursday, October 17th, starting at 1:30PM and ending at 6PM. Parents will be able to meet with the various teachers to discuss how their children are doing in school.

There will also be several workshops that parents can engage in to learn more about the resources available to them.

Mrs. Ross will be in the library to assist seniors with applying for FAFSA. Students are requested to bring their driver’s license (and their parent’s), W2’s or other records of income, 2018 tax returns, investment and other untaxed income information.

Parents who want to learn more about checking their children’s grades on INow can see Mrs. Wilson in the main office.

It is also requested for parents to complete a survey in the library by talking to Mrs. Ledford to help improve our school.

On Friday, October 18th, the Flomaton High School Senior Night ceremony will be held before the game at around 6:30PM.

Senior Nights are held to honor all of the seniors that play in various sports. Seniors from Volleyball, Football, Band, and Cheerleading will walk across the field with their parent(s)/guardian(s).

After the ceremony, the varsity football team will face off against the Thomasville Tigers in the last home game until the playoffs. The game will be suspenseful, but will be a great experience for all involved.

Next week, the town of Flomaton will host the “Trick-or-Treat In The Street” on Thursday, October 24th, downtown near the post office. Various FHS Clubs will be there to host fun games for all ages. Everyone is invited to attend and there will be a lot of interesting costumes that people will wear. The event will begin at 5:30PM and will continue on until 7PM. The FHS Band will also be there, so that would be a great opportunity to hear them play.

This week should be very eventful and interesting for everyone in the community to enjoy.
